StampPDF Batch has always been able to stamp variable data like dates, times, Bates numbers and file paths. Now we have extended this capability allowing you to dynamically change the text being stamped as an input parameter to the call to StampPDF Batch. For example, Names, Account Numbers, Purchase Order Numbers, or entire lines of text. This means you no longer need to make changes to the stamp file to update custom text to be stamped by StampPDF Batch. Variable Substitution Example
Now, easily add StampPDF Batch to your workflow with little, or no programming required. StampPDF Batch now directly supports Watched Folders, also called Drop Folders or Watched Directories. This allows the end user to simply copy the PDF file to be stamped into the Watched Folder. The newly stamped output file will then appear in the output directory.
Automatically scale your stamp to fit on the page without having to set any other options. The value for AutoScale specifies the font size as a percentage of the larger dimension of the page size (example: if your document is 8 1/2 x 11, with AutoScale set to (10), the stamp would be set at 10% of 11 inches. By using the AutoScale parameter in your stamp items, you will be able to apply the same stamp across multiple files regardless of their page size.
StampPDF Batch has a special type of Stamp Item which can scale and transform the page. This is typically used to reduce the size of the page and create white space at the top and right side of the page. This is useful for stamping text along the top and/or right edge of the page and ensuring the stamped text is not obscuring any of the page content.
PHP developers may prefer the free PHP class for StampPDF Batch. Every option in StampPDF Batch is represented in the PHP class by a Method, so the full range of controls, from stamp parameters to security options and more, is readily available for implementation in PHP scripts.

If the text of an item contained in the stamp file contains one or more pairs of percent signs, the text between each pair of percent signs is the name of a variable to be replaced. In this case we are replacing the following three variables found in the stamp file:
Signatures made with the Certify or Sign With Certificate optionscomply with data protection standards specified by the EuropeanTelecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI). In addition,both signature types comply with the PDF Advanced Electronic Signature(PAdES) standard. Acrobat and Reader provide an option to changethe default signing format to a CAdES format. This option is compliantwith Part 3 of the PAdES standard. The timestamp capability and nativesupport for long-term validation of signatures (introduced in Acrobat9.1) is in compliance with Part 4 of the PAdES standard. The defaultsigning format, when set up accordingly, is compliant with Part2 of the PAdES standard. Seed values offer additionalcontrol to document authors by letting them specify which choicessigners can make when signing a document. By applying seed valuesto signature fields in unsigned PDFs, authors can customize optionsand automate tasks. They can also specify signature requirementsfor items such as certificates and timestamp servers. A roaming ID isa digital ID that is stored on a server and can be accessed by the subscriber.You must have an Internet connection to access a roaming ID andan account from an organization that supplies roaming digital IDs.
You can have multiple digital IDs that you use for differentpurposes, particularly if you sign documents in different rolesor using different certification methods. Digital IDs areusually password protected. They can be stored on your computer inPKCS #12 file format. Digital IDs can alsobe stored on a smart card, hardware token, or in the Windows certificatestore. Roaming IDs can be stored on a server. Acrobat includes a default signaturehandler that can access digital IDs from various locations. Registerthe digital ID in Acrobat for it to be availablefor use.
You import directory server settings usingsecurity import/export methodology or a security settings file.Before, you import settings in a file using import/export methodology,ensure that you trust the file provider before opening it.
You can include the dateand time you signed the document as part of your certificate-basedsignature. Timestamps are easier to verify when they are associatedwith a trusted timestamp authority certificate. A timestamp helpsto establish when you signed the document and reduces the chancesof an invalid signature. You can obtain a timestamp from a third-partytimestamp authority or the certificate authority that issued yourdigital ID.
Timestamps appear in the signature field and inthe Signature Properties dialog box. If atimestamp server is configured, the timestamp appears in the Date/Time tabof the Signature Properties dialog box. Ifno timestamp server is configured, the signatures field displaysthe local time of the computer at the moment of signing.
If you did not embed a timestamp when you signed the document, you can add one later to your signature. (See Establish long-term signature validation.) A timestamp applied after signing a document uses the time provided by the timestamp server.
If you have a URL for the timestamp server, click the New button . Type a name, and then type the server URL. Specify whether the server requires a username and password, and then click OK.
ALCRM servers embed user access information in documents. Therefore,specify document recipients in ALCRM policies. Alternatively, letthe ALCRM server retrieve the list of recipients from LDAP directories.
As mentioned earlier Adobe provides eIDAS compliant time times for all of its EMEA customers on the EU1 instance. The Customizable Time Stamp feature allows for customers to replace the default time stamp provider with one of their choosing.
Date and time are by default included with a digital signature. A digitally-authorized time stamp indicates that the contents of any data file existed at that time and have not changed since then. A time stamp is usually retrieved from a third-party time stamp authority associated with its trusted certificate.
If you have configured a time stamp authority server, the time stamp will appear on the Date/Time tab on the Signature Properties dialog box. You can select the certificate of the time stamp authority and add it to your trusted identities list. If no time stamp is successfully retrieved, the date and time from your local computer will be used.
IdenTrust Timestamping Server Authority Server is a service that binds the digital certificate used to sign a digital file with the data being signed, creating a unique sequence of characters or encoded information known as hash, and also identifies when a certain event has occurred. The result is a trusted accurate digital date and time stamp seal embedded within the digital file that contains X.509 digital signatures. Any change in the timestamped file will break the timestamp seal alerting the user that the file is no longer in its original state.
Users who wish to add timestamping to PDF files that are signed with IdenTrust personal or business digital certificates must add ' ' as the Timestamping Server to their local Adobe Acrobat or Adobe Readerconfiguration.
I cannot use Office products in the process, as there are licensing and stability issues involved with using "interop" server-side. Also, I would rather not depend on any other installed software on the server for similar reasons; this functionality will be used by multiple clients at the same time.
In the digital world, it is important to be able to trust that signatures and documents are authentic. A time stamp is one way to prove that the contents of a document exist at a specific point in time and have not been changed since then.
When a document is time stamped, a cryptographic hash is generated based on the contents of the document. This hash is then signed with a private key, creating a digital signature. The signed hash, along with the public key and other metadata, is then timestamped by a trusted third party.
The timestamp proves that the contents of the document existed at the time that it was signed, and the digital signature proves that the document has not been changed since then. As a result, time stamps are an important way to ensure the authenticity of digital signatures and documents.
To add a time stamp to digital signatures, a default time stamp server is required before you make the digital signature. If you have configured a default time stamp server and added it to your trusted certificate list, the time stamp will be embedded with the signature, and the signature properties will show the date/time in the time stamp server when you signed the document; otherwise, the signature (esign) properties will display the local date/time of the computer.
